What Would You Like to Know?
Products
The piecesWhat are your pieces made from?
Every piece starts as 100% certified organic cotton jersey. On our natural colourways the cotton is left untreated and undyed, which is why tone and texture shift slightly from one piece to the next — shaped by harvest and origin rather than by a dye bath.
Weight varies by style, so the exact GSM, fit and composition are listed on each product page under Fabric & Fit. The Solstice Tee, for example, is 185 GSM.
Where are your pieces made?
Designed and printed in Europe. Our organic cotton blanks are made in Portugal and Bangladesh, in GOTS-certified factories. Every piece is then printed in Europe, in small batches.
We keep the run short on purpose: it lets us check every piece before it goes out, and it means nothing is made that nobody wanted.
Are your products vegan?
Yes. Our blanks are PETA-Approved Vegan: no materials of animal origin, and no animal testing anywhere in the supply chain.
What certifications do your materials carry?
Our blanks are certified under:
- GOTS — Global Organic Textile Standard, the leading standard for organic cotton
- OCS — Organic Content Standard
- GRS — Global Recycled Standard, on pieces containing recycled fibre
- OEKO-TEX — tested for harmful substances
- PETA-Approved Vegan
We buy from a member of the Fair Wear Foundation, the organisation that audits working conditions across the garment industry.
How do your pieces fit?
Cut generous through the body with a dropped shoulder. They fit true to size — size down if you want a closer fit.
Full measurements are in the size chart on every product page. If you are between sizes, write to us and we will tell you what we would pick.
How should I care for my piece?
Machine wash cold, inside out, with similar colours. Line dry. Do not tumble dry. Iron on the reverse and never directly on the print.
Cold washing and line drying keep the cotton and the print looking right for years — and use a fraction of the energy.
Will the print fade over time?
It will soften, and that is the point. Our prints are made to age with the garment rather than sit on top of it. Washing cold and inside out slows it right down.
Why do two pieces in the same colour look slightly different?
Because the cotton is undyed. Natural fibre carries its own variation in tone depending on the harvest and where it was grown. Two pieces from the same run will never be identical — that is the material telling you what it is.
Do you restock sold-out pieces?
Rarely. We produce in small batches and most drops are not repeated. If something you want has sold out, join the newsletter — subscribers hear about the next drop first.
Orders & shipping
Getting it to youWhere do you ship?
Worldwide.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is calculated at checkout based on your destination. Worldwide shipping is free on orders over €75.
When will my order ship?
Orders take 1–6 business days to be prepared. Delivery times after that depend on your destination and the carrier.
All times are a guideline, not a guarantee. If you need something by a specific date, email us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it is realistic.
How do I track my order?
You will get a confirmation email when you order, and a second email with tracking as soon as your parcel leaves us. If neither has arrived, check your spam folder first, then write to us with your order number.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Email us at info@sol-calypso.com as soon as you can and we will do what we can. Once a parcel is packed and handed to the carrier we cannot change the address or the contents.
Do you offset the emissions from shipping?
Yes. Every order ships carbon-neutral. For each order we calculate the estimated shipping emissions, and a portion of our revenue goes to carbon removal companies vetted by scientists at Carbon Direct.
You can read exactly how it works on our Ethics page.
Will I pay customs or import duties?
Never. Wherever you are in the world, duties and import taxes are on us.
The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Nothing is collected on delivery, in any country we ship to.
My tracking says delivered but nothing arrived.
Check with your neighbours and your building first — carriers often leave parcels next door. If it still has not turned up, email us with your order number and we will open a claim with the carrier and sort it out with you.
Exchanges
If it is not rightCan I return my piece for a refund?
We exchange rather than refund. If your piece is not right, you are welcome to exchange it in unworn condition within 14 days of receiving it, for another style, colour or size.
We do not refund the credit of your purchase.
How do I start an exchange?
Email info@sol-calypso.com with your order number and what you would like instead. We will send you step-by-step instructions and the return address.
Who pays for exchange shipping?
You do. Exchange shipping is at the customer’s cost — you are responsible for getting the piece back to us.
What condition does the piece need to be in?
Original condition and packaging, unworn, unwashed, with all labels still attached.
In the interest of hygiene we may refuse an exchange where it is obvious that underwear has been worn.
What cannot be exchanged?
Anything marked final sale, and anything bought with a discount code above 15%. These have already been reduced and cannot be exchanged or returned for store credit — no exceptions, including for sizing or fit.
If you have any doubt about size, fit or fabric on a final sale piece, message us or check the size chart before you order. We would rather answer a question than disappoint you.
Can I exchange for a different style?
Yes. Because some of our fabrics are limited, replacements depend on what is still available. If you choose a different style, any difference in price is refunded to you or paid by you.
My piece arrived damaged or it is the wrong item.
That should not happen, and if it does it is on us. Email info@sol-calypso.com with your order number and a photo, and we will make it right.
The brand
Everything elseWhat is Sol Calypso?
A small clothing label — sun-drenched scenes and forgotten melodies, printed in Europe on organic cotton, in short runs.
Everything we release is a limited batch. When it is gone, it is usually gone.
Why do you produce in such small batches?
Because making less, and making it properly, is the whole point. Short runs mean we can be careful about fabric and finish, and we are not left with stock nobody wanted. It also means pieces sell out and rarely come back.
What is Sol Calypso Radio?
Our playlists. One public, one private and curated by our founder. Both live on the Radio page.
How do I hear about a drop first?
Join the newsletter at the bottom of any page. Subscribers get first word on every drop, and the occasional thing that never makes it to the site.
Do you do wholesale or collaborations?
We do. Send us what you have in mind at info@sol-calypso.com.
How do I reach a human?
Email info@sol-calypso.com or send us a message on Instagram. A real person reads both.
